Did you know that mares (also stallions) are required to go through an additional quarantine when imported to the United States from Europe? Mares over the age of 2 are subjected to approximately 2 weeks of CEM quarantine. Costs vary depending on the facility. Christine Eberly in Ohio and Penny at Farwood in Oregon have some of the most competitive rates in the country and offer transportation as a part of the package.
