Jan - STALLION

Dressage deluxe - Going solid FEI L level and hitting the show ring this coming spring. Jan is 5-years old and still a stallion. He has experience in dressage exhibitions, was more than 20 times placed and won against warmbloods. He has a current vet exam and clean radiographs/x-rays. Johana

Johana recently spent almost 4 months in training with Lily Wilson at The Back Forte.  She has a solid, walk, trot, and canter and is beginning lateral work.  Johana is home for the winter, where we will continue to ride her and plan to breed her next spring.   She  is a 5-year-old  ster mare.  She is a doll to handle; loads, clips, bathes, and genuinely aims to please.  She is sired by the late Preferent stallion "Feitse 293." Her damsire is Teunis, who sired world champion approved stallion "Harmen." She has a nice, long mane and feathers.  She was the champion of her keuring  in Holland. Coming from stam line 2, her heritage can be traced back to 1885. This stam line is known for legendary mares Eeldertsje and Caspara and also produced approved stallions Minne 193, Otto 199, Oege 267, Murk 194, Hindrik 222, Kasper 229, Rients 270, Meier 307, Oeds 318, and Wypke 277. Wendou

Wilone - Brandus x Tsjerk

Wilone just earned a 2nd premie at the Monroe, Washington Keuring!  She is out of a star Brandus mare who is well on her way to making preferent.  Wilone is Tsjerk 328and Brandus 345.  Imported by Tailwind Friesians, she is a 1.95% inbreeding co-efficient. Born April 24, 2007. She has a beautiful head and great movement. Mother is 16-1, so she should be tall herself. She has a very nice temperment, but also has lots of energy. She clips bathes, trailers, cross-ties, trimming feet. Welmoed

Ster,Ster,Ster,Ster and Pref. Welmoed is sired by the Tsjerk son "Hinne" and posesses the charisma and character born of damline 122. Stam 122 is the producer of Heinse, approved in 1997. Also, coming from stam 122 are well known mares such as Gjetsje who was pronounced champion in the yearling and two year old categories and her offspring won best breeding group prize in 1987, 1988, 1989, and 1991. 	JW is a good family gelding. Talented, young star gelding - Sijtse (Saytsah)

Sijtse was imported and shown at the S. California Keuring in October 2008 where he earned Star Gelding and National Reserve Champion status.  He will be 4 years old this spring and is started under saddle. Ylsa is no longer for sale.  We have decided to keep her as a breeding prospect. Full Papered for SEVEN generations. This is a rare little gem. Ylsa is Wikke x Brandus x Rypke.  Wikke is now in South Africa.  Ylsa's Dam was already 2 times the daychampion at the kuerings in Worger. Amber d.J. - Folkert x Leffert

SOLD - Congratulations Pam, Mary, Abe and family!  We are happy Amber is going to such a loving home and is staying nearby so we can see her.  It's a difficult decision for me to sell Amber.  We imported her in 2004 for my husband and she has been a part of our family.  She was primarily a driving horse in The Netherlands, but I've ridden her all over the mountains of Washington and Oregon.  She is a smaller mare, standing just under 15.2 hands.  She has a jet black, fine coat.  Her mane and tail are long and thick.  2nd premie in 2002 and 3rd premie in 2003.  She's had three foals.  Two of them were born here at Tailwind Friesians.  Her pregnancies and births are like clockwork, and uneventful.  She has had most of the year off for her pregnancy, but recent rides have been as if she didn't have a single day off.  Began weaning her colt on September 25th.
