Johana is a 2003 STER mare located in Washington state.  She is a doll to handle; loads, clips, bathes, and genuinely aims to please.  She is sired by the late Preferent stallion "Feitse 293." Her damsire is Teunis, who sired world champion approved stallion "Harmen." She has a nice, long mane and feathers.  She was the champion of her keuring  in Holland. Coming from stam line 2, her heritage can be traced back to 1885. Folkje, also known as "Kje" is a FIRST PREMIUM STAR MARE. Lolke x Melle x Hearke bread. Her pedigree is stb/star/star/Model+pref. The figure's for walk is 7 and trot is an 8. I just visited all of Siri's horses.  Both Wilma and Wilone are really coming into their own.   Ready to start work under saddle.  Ster,Ster,Ster,Ster and Pref. Welmoed is sired by the Tsjerk son "Hinne" and posesses the charisma and character born of damline 122. Stam 122 is the producer of Heinse, approved in 1997. Also, coming from stam 122 are well known mares such as Gjetsje who was pronounced champion in the yearling and two year old categories and her offspring won best breeding group prize in 1987, 1988, 1989, and 1991. Welmoed is a serious prospect for breeding and has the sweet Friesian character to boot.   She is easy to handle and cross-ties.  She is slightly baroque in style.

SOLD - Wendou is well put together, and is a graceful mover.  She displays impulsion and fluidity at all three gates.  She will mature well over 16H.  Sweet and compatible with her people and other youngsters, she is a joy to have around.   Her elegant neck nicely balances the height.  Wendou (Wendy)  is a brave spirit, and is usually the first one to pass by "scary" obstacles when being lead.  She is sired by Fetse and has a full mother line of ster mares.   If you are looking for a filly who epitomizes the modern breed standard, she will be a perfect addition or starter to a very high quality breeding program.  Sport horse potential!

SOLD - Congratulations Pam, Mary, Abe and family!  We are happy Amber is going to such a loving home and is staying nearby so we can see her.  It's a difficult decision for me to sell Amber.  We imported her in 2004 for my husband and she has been a part of our family.  She was primarily a driving horse in The Netherlands, but I've ridden her all over the mountains of Washington and Oregon.  She is a smaller mare, standing just under 15.2 hands.  She has a jet black, fine coat.  Her mane and tail are long and thick.  2nd premie in 2002 and 3rd premie in 2003.  She's had three foals.  Two of them were born here at Tailwind Friesians.  Her pregnancies and births are like clockwork, and uneventful.  She has had most of the year off for her pregnancy, but recent rides have been as if she didn't have a single day off.  Began weaning her colt on September 25th.
